Important Update

We are delighted to inform you Maimonides Sleep Arts & Sciences will continue to provide cutting edge sleep treatment as our sleep center has successfully recruited Drs. Dawid and Kisria Rechul to join Dr. Krakow’s sleep medicine team. Dr. Krakow will be working closely with Drs. Rechul during the coming months to ensure a gentle and smooth integration into the practice. During this interval, Dr. Krakow will continue to play an active provider role by reading sleep studies and conducting telemedicine appointments from his new home in Savannah, Georgia.

We are very enthusiastic to welcome Drs. Rechul to our center, who previously operated their own sleep disorders and clinical research facility as sleep technologists in Colorado Springs, after which they attended medical school in, of all places, Krakow, Poland. They recently completed their Family Medicine residency program in Phoenix, Arizona and Dr. Dawid Rechul will soon complete his Sleep Medicine Fellowship training at Yale to become board-certified.

While the center is welcoming some new faces to the provider panel, we are delighted to announce that many of our integral staff members will serve as familiar faces in assuring the maintenance of the excellent standard of care that Maimonides has created and is known for. We are happy to move forward together and have some exciting changes to look forward to. We hope you will join us!

About Dr. Dawid Rechul

I was born in Krakow, Poland and immigrated as a child to the USA as a political refugee. After receiving my undergraduate Biology degree from Harvard University (BA; 2002), where I met my wife Kisria (Harvard, MS, 2003), I finished an MBA program in Healthcare Administration at the University of Phoenix (MBA; 2005) while training to make the US Olympic Team in Freestyle Wrestling. Kisria and I returned to my birthplace where we both attended medical school at Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum (MD; 2011) and completed Family Medicine Residency at Abrazo Central Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona (2019).

About Dr. Kisria Rechul

We’ve been fascinated by sleep for the entirety of our professional careers, having had the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the field from medical and business operations to clinical research and technology development, during which time I received my RPSGT certification (lic#7002; 2004). In 2018 I was accepted into Sleep Medicine Fellowship at Yale University, joining the class of 2020 soon thereafter. Kisria and I feel privileged to commence our careers in sleep medicine by joining Dr. Barry Krakow at the Maimonides Sleep Arts & Sciences facility in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico where we plan on bringing our many years of experience in sleep to help patients in the community “make their dreams come true.”
